Climate Change

Human life—in fact, every form of life, is currently challenged by unexpected consequences of hundreds of years of self-interested behavior by mankind coupled with the mysteries of nature. Now that we are alert to the risks, facing facts is step one to moving toward solutions.

The time has come for political action. http://350.org

This link—www.princeton.edu/~cmi/— provides a complete discussion of the Carbon Mitigation Initiative at Princeton, a consortium that worked on solutions for the climate issue. Their findings, first published in 2004, were discussed by Seth Kaplan, of the Conservation Law Foundation and a Brookline GreenSpace Alliance Board member, at a Climate Change Action Brookline sponsored talk on February 1, 2006 entitled "Changes in Arctic and the Oceans Confirm the Reality of Global Warming."
