New Role for BGSA
This past year, BGSA was asked to help protect open space in Brookline by playing a new role. Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs required that an outside third party hold a Conservation Restriction to ensure the perpetual protection as active and passive open space of the land the Commonwealth was selling to the Town on Fisher Hill. On Tuesday, December 21st, the Brookline Board of Selectmen signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a Conservation Restriction Contract making BGSA the designated protector of the land at the Fisher Hill Reservoir.
BGSA is proud to be a part of seeing that these 10 acres of land remain public open space to be enjoyed for the benefits of the health of the community and its citizens.
